Azita Ghanizada

Azita A. Ghanizada (born in Afghanistan) is an Afghan American Actress in the United States. She has been featured in numerous television shows. Born in Kabul Afghanistan her family fled her home country for the US and were granted the right to stay in the US as asylum seekers. Her family raised her with sisters who resided in Northern Virginia. Ghanizada's on-air camera career by being featured in numerous National Commercials. She was honored with the award in recognition of her role of Chiara, the main character in Laura Neri's 2004 movie A Kiss on the Nose. Her TV guest-starring performances are How I Met Your Mother Veronica Mars the Wedding Bells NUMB3RS bones Psych and Castle. Recent roles included the sci-fi action film Blood Shot (2009) and the comedies that are independent You Only Better (2009). Ghanizada made her debut in 2008 as a cast member of General Hospital's premiertime spinoff General Hospital. As Dr. Saira Bhata, an specialist in holistic health in the second season of Night Shift. Ghanizada played Kelly who was an actress on Prada Sales Girl in HBO Entourage during 2009 and was also cast in the television pilot Tough Trade by Weeds creator Jenji Kohn as well as the executive producer T Bone Burnett.
